PRINCE GEORGE, BC: On Saturday November 4th, 2017, the Prince George RCMP with the assistance of the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, executed Criminal Code search warrants on two residences associated to each other.

The residences are located on the 1300 block of Strathcona Avenue and the 2200 block of Oak Street in Prince George.

Police executed the warrants at approximately noon as part of this firearms investigation. A total of 11 people were arrested out of the two residences along with several weapons seized. In addition, a large amount of property believed to have been stolen was also located and seized. The investigation is continuing.

The Emergency Response Team is a group of highly-trained RCMP officers capable of employing specialized weapons, equipment and tactics to resolve extremely high-risk situations. The use of the Emergency Response Team in this investigation was necessary to better ensure police and public safety.
