PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Police continue to investigate following a suspicious substance incident at a Canada Post Facility Tuesday morning…
Police say at approximately 8:45 AM, officers received a report of a suspicious substance at the Post Office Facility on 15th Ave near Highway 97.
Police and the Prince George Fire / Rescue Service attended the location. Canada Post evacuated all staff from the building prior to emergency crews arriving.
Trained hazardous materials specialists from Prince George Fire / Rescue, obtained and secured the substance. The material was seized by the Prince George RCMP and will be forwarded to a RCMP laboratory for analysis.
The investigation will continue, however at this time there is no reason to believe this substance is harmful. No health concerns have been reported.
