PRINCE GEORGE, BC: One person is dead following a single vehicle crash Thursday morning on Highway 97 North…
Police say just after 8 AM, emergency crews responded to the crash approximately 15 minutes north of Bear Lake.
A witness to the crash called the incident in to police and stated a late model Ford pickup had rolled several times down an embankment. The female driver was trapped inside the vehicle and she was pronounced dead on scene by Police. No name is being released at this time due to next of Kin Notification.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by North District Traffic Services with assistance from the BC Coroners Service.
Police say speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.
Highway 97 re-opened at approximately 1:15 this afternoon to single lane alternating traffic.
