PRINCE GEORGE, BC: The Prince George RCMP Detachment partnered with the Real Canadian Superstore to help feed the hungry this Thanksgiving…Β

On Saturday September 30th, 2017 from 10 AM to 2 PM, local police officers, volunteers, and Detachment staff donated their time at the Real Canadian Superstore and were asking the public’s help to “Cram-a-Cruiser” (police car) with non-perishable food items.Β

During the four hour period, the public donated enough food to fill at least ten police cars. In addition, some members of the public donated cash or gift cards totaling over $650. All donations have been provided to the Prince George Salvation Army as they help those in need this Thanksgiving.

The Prince George RCMP would like to thank the generous members of our community that donated food or cash for this worthwhile cause. The Detachment would also like to thank the management and staff of the Real Canadian Superstore for taking the lead in organizing this event.
