PRINCE GEORGE, BC: One person is in hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle early Friday afternoon… 

Police say at approximately 1:30 PM, officers received a report of Motor Vehicle Collision with a Pedestrian near the corner of 1st Avenue and Ospika Boulevard in Prince George. Initial reports were that a vehicle collided with a pedestrian and fled the scene.

Police and other emergency services attended and located a female victim suffering from serious injuries.  The victim, who is approximately 18 years-old, was transported to hospital for treatment.

With help from the public and other emergency responders, police were able to track the vehicle to a residence further west down 1st Avenue. An adult female and an adult male were arrested shortly after and are in custody.

A North District RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and the Prince George RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. 

The incident is in the early stages of investigation. Police would like to speak to anyone that may have witnessed a small light blue car in the moments before, during or after the collision.
