PRINCE GEORGE, BC: Two people are facing charges as a result of the investigation and subsequent search warrant at an illegal storefront business in Prince George… 

On Friday August 4^th, 2017, the Prince George RCMP’s Downtown Safety Unit, with assistance from the Detachment’s General Duty Section, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at Wee Medical located on the 1400 block of 3^rd Avenue in Prince George. Two males age 34 and 32 were arrested inside the business.

As a result of the search, investigators seized a considerable quantity of marijuana, cannabis infused food, cash, packaging material and other evidence to support charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Both accused were released on Promises to Appear for court on October 11^th, 2017.

Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation. The Prince George RCMP is committed to enforcement and prevention initiatives that combat the possession and sale of drugs in the community.

These search warrants were supported by information provided to the police by concerned citizens who are also committed to ridding their community of this problem. It is through these types of collaborative partnerships that criminal drug activity is effectively reduced.
