The owner watched the two occupants of the vehicle, a male and female, run off on foot after a brief verbal interaction with them.
Police Service Dog ‘Dirks’ was requested to conduct a track for the male and female occupants of the vehicle responsible for the collision due to the amount of damage sustained on the vehicles.
Police Service Dog ‘Dirks’ conducted a track through the neighbourhood to another residence nearby where the male and female described by the owner were located.
Both male and female were taken into police custody without any further incident. Both persons are known to police and the male was held in custody on unrelated outstanding warrants.
The female was issued Violation Traffic Tickets for the collision and further charges are pending in relation to driving while prohibited.
