PRINCE GEORGE, BC: It’s that time of year where motorists NEED to share the road with cyclists and motorcycles, this following an incident on Sunday in Prince George…
On Sunday morning, a female cyclist riding her bike near Queensway and 15th Ave was struck by a vehicle. The cyclist recieved minor injuries in the accident and was taken to UHNBC for treatment.
At the time of the collision, a children’s triathlon was taking place in the area. Police believe this incident occurred as a result of confusion between the driver, the cyclist and traffic control in the area.

A reminder to drivers, motorcyclists and cyclists to be cautious of each other, be sure to make eye contact and follow the rules of the road. Improved bike lane signage and road markings were completed throughout 2016 across the city.
