PRINCE GEORGE, BC: The suspect in last weekend’s homicide has now been criminally charged…
Christopher Clarke PRINCE, a 34 year-old man residing in Prince George, has been charged by Provincial Crown Counsel for the following Criminal Code offences:
- Second Degree Murder
- Assault with a Weapon
- Uttering Threats
These charges stem from an incident that occurred on Saturday May 20th at approximately 1:40 AM., when the Prince George RCMP were called to a report of a Disturbance near the corner of Oak Street and Porter Avenue in Prince George.
Officers attended the area and located two persons with serious injuries from an apparent Assault. The 30 year-old male and 20 year-old female victims were transported to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. PRINCE was located and arrested near the scene.
Unfortunately, the male victim died as a result of injuries sustained in the violent attack. The female victim has now been released from hospital. All indications are that all the people involved were known to each other and that this was a targeted attack as a result of a disagreement.
PRINCE made his first appearance in Provincial Court Wednesday.
The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Section continues to lead the investigation.
