QUESNEL, BC: The Quesnel RCMP continues to investigate following a single vehicle crash early Thursday morning…
Police say at 4:25 AM, officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Garner Road near Quesnel where a high school graduation party was taking place.
The driver of the vehicle, a 17 year-old male from Quesnel, collided with the ditch near the party location. Upon police attendance, the driver was detained for impaired driving.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
“This is a busy time of the year for graduation celebrations” says Staff Sergeant Andrew Burton, Quesnel Detachment Commander. “
Police would like to remind students and their parents to have a discussion about the risks and consequences of drinking and driving and make arrangements to get home safely.”
Fortunately in this incident no one was seriously injured.
