DAWSON CREEK, BC: A well-known male to the RCMP in the BC Peace Region is once again behind bars waiting for court…
On Saturday, March 25, 2017, the Dawson Creek RCMP arrested Isaiah ACKO, 33, Wanted on three outstanding warrants in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.
ACKO has been charged with 23 offences ranging from assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and multiple firearms offences.
The investigation led RCMP members to a residence in Dawson Creek where ACKO was believed to be. Through information obtained, investigators believed that ACKO may have had access to weapons and as a result additional resources were called in to assist with the arrest.
A joint operation between the Dawson Creek RCMP, Fort St. John RCMP with assistance from the North District Emergency Response Team, containment was made and ACKO was arrested without incident. Police seized a firearm from the residence.
ACKO is currently in custody and is scheduled to make a court appearance on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Dawson Creek Provincial Court.
