QUESNEL, BC: A male and female remain in custody following a stolen vehicle incident Wednesday morning…
During the early morning hours of February 15, Quesnel officers received a report of a stolen pickup truck taken from a business on Two Mile Flat.
Hours later at approximately 11:10 AM, the truck was spotted by a motorist being driven erratically from Bouchie Lake towards Quesnel.
Police located the vehicle which became evasive and turned off into a trailer court on North Fraser Drive. The driver and passenger abandoned the truck and fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit a male and a female were located and arrested without incident.
“This was a coordinated effort. The Quesnel RCMP continue to work at reducing crime in our community and we appreciate the public stepping up and doing the right thing by calling us and not engaging the suspects prior to police involvement”, says Sergeant Chris Riddle of the Quesnel Detachment.
The General Duty and Crime Reduction Units continue to investigate this incident.
