QUESNEL, BC: An elderly man in a wheelchair has died as a result of a pedestrian collision on Friday…
Police say at approximately 5:14 PM, Quesnel Emergency services were called to the intersection of Front Street and St. Laurent Avenue.
Upon arrival, Police learned an elderly man was being pushed in his wheelchair through the intersection when the wheelchair was struck by a southbound vehicle on Front Street causing the man to fall. The man was transported to GR Baker Memorial Hospital where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained on scene. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the collision.
The name of the deceased is not being disclosed at this time. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
