Ended: Snowfall Warning in effect for Pine Pass and northern BC…

Snowfall Warning has ended for the Pine Pass region. As of October 1 at 5 PM. Continues for the Peace. 

Below is the latest on the snowfall totals for the Pine Pass and northern BC highways beginning early this evening… Please drive with caution! 

Snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.

The first significant snowfall of the season will impact the BC Peace River District, Highway 97 – Pine Pass and southern Fort Nelson region tonight and Saturday.


Alaska Highway 80 km north of Fort Nelson.

An early season Arctic front will continue to push down across northern BC tonight while a moist Pacific front streams up from southern BC.  Snow will continue over sections of the Alaska Highway south of Fort Nelson. 

For Saturday, more snow is expected with an additional 5 to 10 cm.
