Police say at approximately 9:30 PM, officers attended and learned that an adult male had attempted to steal a basket of meat from the store. An employee confronted the alleged thief when the suspect pulled a knife. The suspect dropped the basket and fled on foot with a waiting adult female towards downtown Prince George.
The victim was not injured.

Investigators are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect. He is described as:
- First Nations male
- 5’6″
- 180 lbs
- Shaved head
- Wearing red knee length athletic shorts, black t-shirt and a black long sleeve zip sweater
