Teen robbed of BMX bike at gunpoint…

Williams Lake, BC: The Williams Lake RCMP is requesting the public’s help after a youth had his bike stolen at gunpoint Monday afternoon near the Boitanio Skate Park…

Police say at approximately 4 :40 PM, officers in the Detachment parking lot were approached by a frantic youth who told an officer that his friend was robbed of his BMX bike at the skate park.

Information provided by the victim says he was approached by three males from a group of six. One of the three males pulled out what appeared to be a silver colored handgun and pointed it at the victim telling the youth the bike was now his.

The first male suspect is described as:

  • First Nations
  • 5’9″ tall
  • Wearing a camouflage hoodie

The first suspect handed over the bike to another male suspect and he his being described as:

  • First Nations
  • Wearing a black and grey sweater

  • Red and black MacNeil BMX style last 5 digits of the serial number are 82044.

Victim Services has been referred to the affected parties.

The Williams Lake RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have information on the suspect or location of the stolen bike to please call the local Detachment at 250-392-6211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
