Update: Serious crash closes Highway 97 North Salmon Valley…

Highway 97 has now reopened as of 5:30 PM.

Motorists are being advised that Highway 97 North is CLOSED approximately 1 km north of Salmon Valley due to a serious two vehicle crash…

One person has been confirmed deceased while another has been taken to UHNBC in Prince George for treatment.

A detour is available on Old Summit North for light vehicle traffic only. Estimated Time of Opening is 6 pm.
