Electronic road sign damaged on Alaska Highway by firearm…

Fort St. John, BC: The Fort St. John RCMP is asking for the public’s help after an electronic road sign was damaged at Mile 80 of Alaska Highway…

Police say sometime between December 31, 2015 and January 4, 2016, someone shot at the display sign causing a malfunction that cost approximately $6000 to fix. 

Police are concerned not only over the unsafe discharge of a firearm near a Highway, but also that motorists could not be updated with road conditions on a sometimes treacherous highway.

There are no known suspects at this time.
