Police say on Thursday January 7, 2016, officers received a report of a Break & Enter at a rural residence on Upper Fraser Road, east of the city.
Officers attended and found that more than a dozen guns had been stolen along with a quantity of cash, binoculars, alcohol, clothing and a GPS system.
On Friday January 8, 2016, General Duty officers executed a Criminal Code search warrant on a residence on Bunce Road in Prince George. Two people were taken into custody and police located many of the stolen items, including 14 rifles. A Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum handgun has not yet been located.
Patrick Ryan BAKER, a 28 year-old Prince George resident, has been charged by Provincial Crown Counsel with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Break, Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
- Drive While Prohibited
- Fail to Comply with Undertaking
BAKER will be held in custody at least until his first court appearance scheduled for later today.
A 26 year-old female Prince George resident was released on a Promise to Appear for court on March 16, 2016. Police are recommending property and firearms related charges against her.
