FSJ RCMP issue reminder about strangers…

Fort St. John, BC: The Fort St John RCMP is reminding parents to talk to their children about interacting with strangers following an incident in December…

Police say a teen male was walking home on December 17, 2015, in the area of 92A Street and 93rd Ave when he was approached by a male in a blue minivan. The man asked the teen if he wanted a ride home. The teen said no. The male then told the teen to get in the van.

The teen continued walking east on 93rd Avenue and the van turned south into the alleyway between 86th Street and 89th Street.

The motive or intentions of the minivan driver are not known at this time.

Police continue to investigate.
