On January 4, 2016, in the early morning hours, a second Break and Enter occurred on the 300 block of 96th Avenue in Dawson Creek.
As before, several firearms were stolen from the home as well as other personal accessories and household items.
Both Break and Enters have a similar motive and entry to the residences was gained in a similar fashion. The same items appear to have been targeted and both residences had an alley access on to the properties.
The Dawson Creek RCMP is reminding residents to make sure that they have marked their belongings so they can be returned to its rightful owner.
With firearms being taken in these two Break and Enters, police are requesting firearm owners take extra precautions in securing their firearms.
Police are also asking residents to ensure there is nothing lying around the exterior of the home that may assist a thief’s ability to gain entry; ladders, hammers and other tools.
