RCMP seize drugs, weapons and cash following traffic stop in Mackenzie…

Mackenzie, BC: A Prince George man has been arrested and faces several charges after a traffic stop in Mackenzie on October 15…

During the subsequent investigation, police seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, a large quantity of cash, weapons, break and enter tools and a stolen rifle from the vehicle.

An adult male from Prince George remains in custody and faces charges of:

• Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking,
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime,
• Possession of Break in Instruments,
• Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.

Detachment Commander Sgt. Brian Donaldson said, “This was a trifecta traffic stop, not only did we prevent those drugs from hitting the streets in our community, we were able to recover a stolen rifle, and arrest and charge the man responsible. It is great work by the members involved.”
