Historical missing person case: Helen Claire Frost…

Prince George, BC: The family of Helen Claire Frost are still seeking answers as to the whereabouts of their beloved sister and daughter who went missing on October 13, 1970, 45 years ago today…

“Helen’s family will never give up hope of finding out what has happened to her says Sandy Barnet, Helen’s only sibling. We don’t know if she was taken by someone or left on her own accord and doesn’t know how to resurface. Is she alive or deceased? We just know that we miss her each and every day, for all these many years.”

Todd Wilson of the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit. We want to find Helen and be able to bring her home to her family. Someone out there has information that can help us; that can bring answers to Helen’s family.”

During the late evening of October 13, 1970, Helen left her apartment located in the 1600 Block of Queensway in Prince George. She had told her sister she was going for a walk. Helen did not return home and has not been seen since.

The Prince George RCMP conducted an extensive search, but were unable to locate any evidence or information that could lead to Helen’s whereabouts. Although Helen had faced a number of emotional challenges in her life at that time, investigators have continued to look at all possible reasons for her disappearance.

Helen Claire Frost was 17 years-old at the time of her disappearance. At that time she was described as:

  • 5’5
  • Slim build
  • Blue eyes
  • Short brown hair
  • Fair complexion
